Why is the System 40 the best?
There are several reasons why the System 40 is the best water filter on the market, firstly the essence of water filtration is all about the contact time of the water with the filter media, the System 40 uses very high grade silver impregnated coconut carbon powder, which has a massive surface area, in fact the carbon used in the System 40 is the equivalent of 330 acres or 330 football pitches!
Water finds the quickest path through a media and so with water filters this can mean that a channel is created through the carbon which causes a severe loss in filtration as most of the media is not being used, with the System 40 we developed a unique cyclone separator with a 10 micron vion F pre filter screen which forces the water to circulate through the whole of the media and stops carbon channelling, it allows the water to flow freely through the various levels of filtration which means we can maintain the consistency of high quality filtration throughout the lifetime of the filter.
Unlike many filter systems that employ a housing method whereby you open the unit to replace the filter the System 40 is a hermetically sealed unit which maintains a constant bacteriostatic barrier that cannot be contaminated by human handling or environmental pollutants. Due to the sealed body of the filter and the superior quality of the components used in the manufacture of the System 40 it is an extremely robust filter meaning that it can withstand up to 10 bar of pressure making the filter able to deliver a faster flow of water whilst maintaining the highest standard of filtration, unlike other filters that use the traditional saddle clamp that create a pinhole in the pipework and ¼” tubing which equates to a really slow flow the System 40 uses a large bore Opella valve with multi flow control and 3/8” pipework and fittings which can deliver a large flow of water to the filter which means a faster flow through the filter tap making it easy and quick to fill kettles and pots and pans for cooking.
